Do you prefer to be loved or love someone?[/B]

Was thinking about this intriguing question, which one is better or you prefer, to love or to be loved?

Guess the safe way is to be loved but it doesn't necessarily follow that you will ever love that person in the way they love you. When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. Perhaps it is better to love someone with no expectations,

 Darlin' I think it is better to love than to not love at all..its one thing for someone to love you, but if you aren't feeling it too, well, it gets suffocating with the guilt of knowing what your lover is expecting from you..

 Neither beats the very fulfilling feeling of mutual love.

Being loved by someone you dont care for can be downright embarrassing and loving someone who dont care for you downright frustrating.

 Yes, I agree, being loved by someone you don't feel the same for can be embarrassing and loving someone who doesn't love you is frustrating and heart breaking and a complete waste of energy!

 I prefer to love. I have lived often without being loved, and have still enjoyed a wonderful life. Yet I cannot remember when I didn't love someone. Nor can I imagine the sense of emptiness and loneliness that a man or woman with no one to love must feel.
