Top Ten Web Gems

There are a couple women I know who are quite fond of professional sports on television. Some just enjoy the games, but there are a few for whom watching professional sports is an erotic adventure.

I am not entirely sure what to make of that.

If women's arousal by visual things worked like a man's, I could probably make better sense of it. And I can, at least conceptually, understand why watching professional sports on television might be erotically interesting, with all those form-fitting uniforms, big muscles, tight ends, etc. (that's a joke). But here's the thing... when a woman is watching professional sports, does she end up wanting THAT guy? Or will any guy do? Or almost any guy?

If only it was that easy for men... that they could find a professional sport that was readily available on television and filled with women. Unfortunately, the only sports that come close to meeting that criteria are two which really only border on the fringe of the definition for competitive sport in the first place - gymnastics and figure skating... and both have the problem that the world class athletes in these sports are basically under-formed little girls... Of course there are men that like that, but following the logical arousal chain from watching nubile gymnasts to wanting someone in that way runs afoul of so many things, including the limits of perversion, and the law.

Women's basketball, volleyball and soccer all have their appeal, but they're not readily available, and for the most part, the uniforms are not terribly flattering. One actually needs to invest a few seconds of watching to determine that the competitors are actually women. Nobody makes that mistake in figure skating or gymnastics.

One of the women I know was recently getting ready to watch football, but it was before the games started... so she was watching SportsCenter. Is this like watching trailers for upcoming porn flicks, before the feature?

I guess men don't really need the sport to be captivated by the images of women. One could probably make some money if you had a couple satellite dishes and an internet connection, and did a 30 minute highlight show of just regular women, doing regular things on camera. "Let's go to Los Angeles, where a traffic jam had this blonde hottie in a convertible adjusting her bra and putting on makeup, while waiting for the traffic to move! And after that, we have some security camera video from an ATM machine in Corpus Christi... watch what happens when she pulls her card from her bikini top! And... after the break, we have today's top ten web gems!"

I may be a bit unusual... I've been told a few times that I am sexually quite aggressive and visual for a woman. My taste in this area can be directly extrapolated from any show on animal mating. The sports which most often erotically arouse me are combat and target sports with some occasional strongman stuff.

When it comes to female athletes, I prefer archery, fencing, pool and shooting. The women are much more my type and I love the look of concentration as she finds her target.

When I want porn, I watch porn. When I just want to see attractive male bodies in motion, I watch boxing. I don't actually want the athlete I pick as my favorite; most times I actually find him more than a little scary. Watching makes me want the person I am with more, even if I've only been with him minutes longer than the fight.

I remembered it after I posted it... but here's the thing... is beach volleyball really about the sport? *grin*

I guess it doesn't matter...

There's not much on TV that I find erotically arousing, that doesn't cost $12.99 on PPV... and I am too cheap to spend $12.99.
