Cityscape Eclipse

"If anyone is looking for experience assisting a real professional I have posted some job opportunities on the board outside the class." The professor glanced at the wall clock as he collected his bag from the deck at the front of the classroom.
Aaron followed suit and thought nothing of the last comment of class.
"Hey, Aaron aren't you going to even look at the jobs?" Tori asked as Aaron strolled down the hallway.
"Why? Its not like they are going to pay much." Aaron walked past the posting board and the small group encircling it.
"Oh, I was just thinking you would want the extra credit that came with taking an Assistant job." Tori replied nonchalantly, but louder than normal ensuring that Aaron heard her.
"Carp. I forgot that he said that." Aaron stopped and thought about his last test, he would need a little extra bump to pass the class. "Okay, what looks easy?" He said headed back towards the postings.
"Well, I am not sure which is going to be the easiest," Tori turned from the board and smiled at Aaron. "But this one doesn't have any of the pulled off so you may have the best chance to get the job." Tori pulled the fresh posting off the board and handed it to Aaron.
"It is not hard to see why you are acing this class. Your able to see the 'complete' picture." Aaron's air quotes hampered by the posting in hand.
Tori's smile withered. "Aaron your smart and your going to pass this class. Just think of this job as insurance."
~~~
"I'm here about the assistant job." Aaron displayed the posting, slightly wear by a rough ride in his backpack.
"Ah, yes straight ahead, then left at the window." The receptionist was robotic in her lack of emotion. Still Aaron has little time as he made his way into the office at the left end of the hallway to take note of his surroundings before a well dressed woman enters the offices and sits behind the desk.
"I take it that you are Aaron?" Shifting a few lose papers around on her desk she opens a side draw.
"Yes, I am Aaron. I am here for the assistant's job." Aaron said, pulled a chair away from the desk.
"Oh there is no need to sit down." She said as she waved her hand like an attempt to shoo a bird from a perch. "You have just been hired. Here is your key and the information you will need to find that job."
Aaron reach out slowly and took the key and white strip of paper. "Okay, if there are anymore questions see the receptionist I have other matters to handle." She smiled and left the office.
Aaron stood oddly still trying to take in all that have elapsed in the short meeting. Finally realizing that he was in fact hired freed him.
~~~
The reward of the door lock clicking into place and the door gliding open was not enough to set Aaron's nerves at ease. However, the view of the cityscape captivated him, drawing him inside for a closer look. He made little note of the white upscale furniture nor the cherry hardware floor beneath as he floated closer to the windows. The view had encompassed his realm of attention so completely he did not hear the woman from the previous day enter the room and clear her throat, twice.
"I take it that you a have not had the pleasure of such a view before?" She paused waiting for a response. "Snap a picture, it will allow you to study it more closely, that is why you are here is it not?"
Her second question snapped Aaron back into reality and the use of all of his senses.
"There are not many views like this in the Midwest, or at least easy ways to see them…" Aaron's voice trailed off as he turned to see her dressed in black nightwear. Turning back toward the view, " I thought I was hired to help a<b> photographer.</font></b>"
"You are Aaron." Her tone was light with humor and her smile hinted at an inside joke. "While the view of the cityscape is amazing it requires a second set of hands to keep the lighting correct. This is where you come into a state of being required."
With the topic on work Aaron felt more on solid ground. "Is the view so unique that it is the subject matter for the photo shoot?"
She lightly chuckled, as she turned her glaze out on the windows. "No. The subject matter requires an impressive backdrop for scale."
"What than is the subject?" Aaron turned surviving the room to see if there were any cues he could take in.
"Tell me why Aaron, you as the assistant would want to know the subject of the shoot?"
"If you were worried about the lighting I would think knowing the subject matter could make your instructions fewer, because I would understand your vision for the shot."
"Well, well. I would say that I am impressed, but that would mean the bar was low." Aaron's face of confidence started to melt. "What would you need to know if I were to tell you that the subject would be a model wanting to give a lover some lasting delights?"

However, before I go much further I think I need to ensure I have permission to post the picture that goes with the story.
