The smell of Fresh made coffee always takes me back in time ..maybe that's why I go to TH often LOL Remember Sail Pipe Tobacco that's another one !!
As a non-coffee drinker, It amazes me how many love the smell of fresh-brewed coffee. Oh my gosh, I had forgotten about pipe tobacco. My grandfather smoked a pipe and cigars. Thanks for sharing your memories.

I recall SPAM on one occasion as a kid....I refused it then and my stomach churns now thinking about it. Is that stuff still legal to sell LOL
To call it 'mystery meat' would be an understatement. And yes, it is still sold. Thanks for commenting.

For me it is the smell of fire burning (wood fire that is! )
Ah yes, the sound and smell of a crackling wood fire. Great to cuddle up in front of on long, wintery days/nights!

I was just thinking about this recently. For me it's the smell of certain items that aren't made or aren't common anymore. Like candies. But the smell of liner notes in Ds and tapes are pretty nostalgic for me.
Gosh, I had forgotten about that! Thanks for dropping by and commenting.

The smell of a farm takes me back to my childhood. And play-doh - what a great smell!
The smell of a farm must have been sensory overload! Play-doh was unique too but I don't think the colours had different smells? Thanks for sharing your memories.

What a great poll, I have to say nothing really triggers any great child hood smell memories for me. I try not to think about my child hood.

But I do enjoy the smell of hot warm cocoa as I like different flavors. In just a bit here I will be enjoying a cup of Sea Salt Carmel Cocoa.

I hope your Sunday is a relaxing one..
I love hot cocoa. On a really cold day, it's the only drink that will warm me up! It's hard to believe we are only days away from Christmas!

Gosh, I had forgotten about Silly Putty! Pressing it into comics and transferring the impression to a clean piece of paper. It is still on the market too. Thanks for dropping by and sharing your memories.

Sing songs, toasting marshmallows and ghost stories were also part of the campfire experience!

Home-baked items are so different from store-bought items. I didn't know what spudnuts were so had to look those up. Thanks for dropping by and sharing your memories.

    Laundry fresh off the clothesline

My grandpas homefries with onions and peppers and their percolated coffee wafting thru the house and waking me up when i was age 5.

    Sweet sweet memories ~
The smell of freshly hung laundry, especially when the sheets were put back on the bed was so comforting. I also have great memories of times spent with my grandparents which is why I included Cuban cigars and peppermints. My grandfather also smoked a pipe. Thank you for dropping by and sharing your memories.

Couple things come to mind. One being my all time favorite smell, and that’s a summer thunderstorm up in the pine and sage covered mountains. It’s glorious. The second, well it sucks being old, but I can say I actually have smelled as a kid and do remember what the old Woolworths department store smelled like. That too was glorious in its own way.
The outdoors provides a myriad of smells and memories. Woolworths ..the wooden floors and sitting at the counter and having a root beer float! Thank you for dropping by and sharing your memories.

There are so many things that take me back... way back, like that smell of the air when you blow up a beach ball or an inflatable swimming pool, then let it out. The leather smell of my first baseball glove. The smell after you sharpened a pencil and the smell of chaulk on a chaulkboard as well. The smell of chlorine at the public swimming pool. The smell of walking through a corn field. the smell of walking past or having to use an old wooden outhouse (yuck). The smell of hot asphalt on the street during the summer. The smell of opening a fresh box of Cracker Jack. The smell of other women's stale perfume while having to go shopping with my mom. The smell of cooking as you walk past a cafee. The smell of big pink pencil erasers. Geez.. I could go on forever listing things !!
It is amazing isn’t it, how smells are ingrained in our memories and can instantly transport us back to favourite places and times. You are right, the list could be endless! Thanks for dropping by and sharing your memories.

Gah! It's mothballs.

Mothballs bring me RIGHT back to my grandmother's house and all the fun old stuff that was just laying around, waiting to be discovered!

That's terrible but you can't fight smell!

OMG! Opening drawers and finding those little white balls tucked into unexpected places. My grandfather always carried a few ‘scotch mints’ in his pocket and I worried the two would get mixed up! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your memory.
