back when i was just 12 years old
i found sex and the<b> love </font></b>of rock and roll
i knew the direction my life had to go.,

when i was 13,
from my home i split the scene
wanted to see the world and find everything
my thirst for adventure overtaking me

at 14 i had traveled far,
on foot and plane and bus and car
i bought a new guitar, came back home to listen to the call
spent many nights contemplating the stars

at 15 i thought i knew it all, my heartfelt loves were rock and girls
i partied every night till i was on the floor

made money playing clubs before i was old enough to drink
to me that didn't mean anything, my world was such a groovy thing
spent my cash right after all the shows, the girls would cum and the drinks would flow
, thought it was the only thing that i would ever know

at 19 i went back to school, found college life was oh so cool
just kicking ass and breaking rules

i got my degree at 23
and when i hit that stage,i just blew em all away,
cause to me this was nothing new

at 25, my life changed when i found my wife
,we were so perfect we didn't have to try,
i had found found the<b> love </font></b>of my life

a few years later when she died,
that's when i finally realized
that the world was filled with pain and strife

now as i sit here contemplating years, l,ve fought through my past and all my fears, now listen close with a caring ear

live your life and find the truth,
do anything you want to do
spend every day having fun,
walk out of the shadows into the sun
cause you know were all here only once

life your life and find your dream, don't hold back from anything
find inner peace and<b> love </font></b>by any means

as for me you know i,m not done yet, if you bet against me you would lose the bet.cant get where you want without the first step

nothing can ever hold me down,
cause i,ve got<b> love </font></b>and i,ve got sound

with<b> love </font></b>we all can right the wrong,
rip out all the pain that don't belong
just keep listening for my song.
