Hotlist...Flirt...What the hell?

I have a question. I have guys flirting with me and adding me to their hotlist. What does that mean? Some of them are gold members and I assume that they could just message me if they wanted to chat or meet. I don't know what to do with these guys...do I message them? Ignore them? Flirt back? I have to admit that I am clueless in this area.
I know that basic members can't message me unless I message them first, but what is up with the gold members? I don't chase guys. If they want me, they need to let me know.
Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!

 Hello Kelly,
In my opinion, If there gold and could email you . There just too lazy to do it! I can't email cause I'm not gold and the only way to show an interest is to hotlist you. Well I would say there not worth your time if they don't email, when the can.

 Maybe a guy is shy and it's how he shows interest, hoping to get some sort of positive signal back.

 I am a gold member and I sometime hotlist someone because I want to contact them when I have the time and opportunity (I am married) to write something that is actually interesting and even intelligent.
