On The Edge A Poem

Another day
Nothing happening
Sure I could have
Pursued someone new.
As you and I are
Just not connecting.

You know what they say
About fish in the sea
They are plenty.
I don't want to keep
A fishing net or pole
Forever next to me.

I would like to relax
For a change.
No more being
On the edge
Unless I am with you
On the edge of a bed.
With a lovemaking session
About to commence.

 I was never a huge fan of fishing, but it is very relaxing to sit in a boat, let the waves rock you and watch the horizon float by.
