Let The Romance Begin A Poem
Let The Romance Begin A Poem Let the romance begin. Let us talk and gesture With openness And affection. Let us offer the other Our undivided attention. Let our eyes stay affixed As if glued upon the other Going from their eyes And only down so far As the lips. Which we might wet Thinking of a kiss. Let our hands be relaxed And act natural To reach out and touch The other's hands To show how We want a connection With affection Overcoming awkwardness. Let the topics We discuss Be plentiful. Let them be diverse From the weather To sports To political The latter Showing we are Of the same ilk. When we find a lull. Which is probably inevitable. Let our smiles be genuine Let our sighs be hopeful Not out of frustration Or boredom. But out of our need To get air. As we have been Nearly holding our breath In our excitement. What romance Would be real If there weren't those Brain chemicals? Ah endorphins Will be swirling As they will be Produced as if a factory Was on overtime. How will this end? Banish that thought! Let it first begin! Give it it's birth! Let it have a life Which can be ever so Enriching of one Lonely too long. Yes, a romantic alliance That gives one hope! reminded me of this one... Tina Dickow - "Heaven And Hell" Oh, when lovers meet A crowded bar to an empty street He takes her hand, she shuts her eyes Who would have thought that we could reach these heights? Oh, when lovers part With each a half of a broken heart And hopeless tears from eyelashes leave Who would have thought that we could fall so deep? Heaven and hell, uh Heaven and hell, uh Heaven and hell, uh Heaven and hell, uh Oh, hand in hand Oh, when lovers dance With careful feet and curious hands The rhythms grow from hidden debts Who would have thought that we would know these steps? Oh, when lovers meet Soft kisses on a blushing cheek Our touches ask what no one knows Why even love like this comes and goes Heaven and hell, uh Heaven and hell, uh Heaven and hell, uh Heaven and hell, uh Oh, cheek to cheek Heaven and hell, uh Heaven and hell, uh Heaven and hell, oh Heaven and hell, uh Uh, side by side Heaven and hell To leave private messages, please use my confidential mailbox at my blog: Good luck!!!
