Peaceful with a positive message. Always a relaxing escape. That transporter beam always fascinated me. They're working on it right? 🤔
Live long and prosper.

I’ve always loved Star Trek in nearly all of shows and movies. I grew up watching TOS daily in syndication and was hooked on TNG and loved DS9. I wasn’t as attached to Voyager or Enterprise. The movies were always hit or miss. You know how it goes.. even numbered films generally rocked and odd numbered ones sucked. The only exception to this was Nemesis.
I liked JJ Abrams reboot and more recently liked Picard. Discovery was a mixed bag for me but I’m willing to give it a go still

I love Sci-Fi. You name it, I’ve probably seen it. Being a huge comic nerd implanted the sci-fi fan in me. Went to comic con every year from 1981-2011. I love Star Wars but it’s a different type of love. Star Trek at its best uses allegory to tell the tales. We get a reflection of society and the issues we face in ST. SW is fanciful fun with a mythology all its own. I could go on but shut it.
I’m jealous you got to sit and watch 7 movies. Really. Even the not so good ones like Final Frontier. Lol
There's a ton of it on Amazon Prime Video right now. Free to stream it your a prime subscriber.... I have a firestick but I can still access it on my roku tv also.

I love Sci-Fi especially Star Trek. In the seventies, as a kid there wasn't a lot of Sci-Fi to choose from and a lot of it was really bad except for Star Trek and later in that decade Star wars and the original Battlestar Galactica (which I love. Just couldn't get into the reboot, it seemed too much like Terminator in space.).
I remembered watching Battlestar Galactica back in the day... For some reason I remembered it being better than it was. I saw it a while ago on on Hulu or Netflix and tried to watch it again... It was a no go. LOL Same for the reboot, I just couldn't get into that one either.

The Wrath of Khan, teaches you need both intellect and experience to outwit the enemy, a good philosophy. A very influential film this, thanks for post.
It had been many years since I last watched it.... It's funny how age and experience can alter what you notice and pick up in a movie. It was good to see it again.

each time a new Star Wars movie comes out, I gather up two car loads of the children and grandkids and of to the movie we go.. I posted about on of my "Dates".........I had a date this afternoon , if you get a chance to see it be sure to look at the last comment received and my answer, some people just are not with the real world!!!
I read it and, you're right, some people are just a real piece of work. In my opinion, family time is most valued to me.

It's amazing to see how far we've come with special effects. I liked the remake movies too.

I really enjoyed the Next Generation but never got into the originals or any after that. I'm sure I could tho with someone to watch with. I did see some of the originals growing up. I was a big lost in Space fan mid 70s. It was on every day after school followed by Gilligan's Island and Brady Bunch! LOL It was definately a lazy kind of day.... unfortunately I spent hours shopping for a clothes washer

    It's just that kinda day.
It's time to kick on back.
    Toss your cares away.
    Cartwheels and piggy backs,
    It's just that kinda day.
    Tell mean old Mr. Blues,
    He's welcome here no more.
    Put on your happy shoes

We do all need some "feel" good time, now and then. Helps you to recharge.

Very nice! Star Trek fan here as well. So which movies did you watch? The originals with WIlliam Shatner and Leonard Nimoy? Or the more current ones with Chris Pine?
The originals... Star Trek the Motion Picture, Search for Spock, and Wrath of Kahn. They're all on Prime right now.

Have to say.... Mr. Spock was always my favorite, until Wesley Crusher came along. He was my 7th grade celebrity crush.
