Well, it happened, was quicker than I thought!! Well, seems congress has passed a new bill regulating dating and hook up sites, ( HR1865 ), concerning personals sites and especially those contributing to human trafficking. CraigsList has already removed it's personals sections and is running scared, so am wondering how long sites like this one will be up and running without reprisal, since it seems to allow so many profiles and ads from hookers and sites to place ads here. |

Yes and will be interesting to see how it all plays out. About the only way it won't effect sites like this is if it's challenged in court by a group of the sites and probably some strict guidelines will be imposed that will make most sites disappear.

i dont know man..they passed laws against texting n driving but still every 18 out of 20 cars that pass my bigrig everyday has their thumbs tapping away.. woop woop

I for one will miss the personals on Craigslist. It was always a good way to hookup and have some fun.

What prostitution sites does this allow to place ads here? _______________________________________________________________________________________ I'm not here to pick or stir up a fight, but have you not seen the ads that have been popping up three or four times a month, in the stories and blog columns advertising the escort services?? Granted they are advertising for escorts that are out of the USA, but none the less are advertisement for such services. I don't know about the ladies here or other guys, but I seem to get about a dozen pages on IM and messages in my inbox a month from 18 to up to 25 yr olds or so, saying hi to begin with, and then directly after that, they go into directing me to go to another site or texting them at a number that in turn leads to a social workers site, and by social, I don't mean welfare workers either. lol The thing with most of those young ladies, is that their profiles come from towns or cities that I know of and know they are not where they say they are located in.

"If" this does become law and "if" this site shuts down it might not be a bad thing. I just might find something more productive to do with my time rather than waste it here. AB No Bozos

These ads and profiles have been reported and numerous times, but yet they have still been consistently coming back time and time again, so what else would one construe but they are not paying attention to them or even allowing them here. The possibilities are endless as to why it would be allowed. BiggLala, I'm sorry you took it that by quoting part of your reply, you took it the wrong way, it wasn't meant to do that, what it was meant to do was to clarify, so others would understand that I was not picking any sort of a fight with anyone, but obviously it didn't work out that way. Anyway, this bill is and was sponsored with the backing of the president, so it is only hours or a few days before it's ready for him to sign and he has already indicated that he will do so. As I stated in a post to another members post on this subject in a different section of the site, this law is very vague on what they are considering as solicitation or exchanging services for profit or pay. It can easily be construed that by live and sexual camming in exchange for points, which can be exchanged for other features of this site, such as free extended membership, etc, there doesn't have to be any physical exchange of money or physical sexual contact with another person, just the exchange of something of value for the exchange of the acts for it to be considered as prostitution, etc. With that, this site is very much into that already, so the possibilities are endless there with the law and how it will be interpreted with the charges for the site as well as the participants/members.
